Would Your Home Pass the 30-Second Test?
In this digital age, we’re bombarded with never-ending posts, shares and bits of information to process.
This overload of info overload means people, including home buyers, are making decisions quicker than ever.
When we accompany people on viewings, we often see them making up their mind about a property in less than 30 seconds.
So, would your home pass the 30-second Test? Let’s begin:
- If your home is being put on the market, have you had a big declutter ahead of when your estate agent comes to take the all-important photos?
- Are all your home’s exterior items in good working order? Think about the condition of your garden baskets, paving stones and even the doorbell.
- If you have a lawn, has it been mowed recently? You want people to look at it and think, ‘that looks nice’ rather than, ‘that looks like even more work for us to do’.
- With the autumnal wind and rain in mind, have you cleaned your front door in the last four weeks? And is your welcome mat, well, welcoming?
If you’ve answered no to all of the above questions and your home is going on the market (or you’re considering it), act now.
Because you’ll be putting potential buyers off and failing the 30-second Test.
If you answered yes to all the questions, pat yourself on the back. You’re in pole position to pass the first impressions test.
